Originally founded in 1995, Impact Gaming Center began as 8 computers and an idea, but quickly turned into a LAN Center nestled off the beaten path in Fairview Heights, IL. Gamers would come bask in the glow of the CRT monitors, as they rallied together as a community for wins and losses. Over time, the IGC grew into the newly introduced E-Sports scene, competing and placing in top games such as Call of Duty. In 2010, the physical LAN center went into hibernation, but the spirit still lived on where the community continued to evolve online.
In 2020, Impact Gaming Center began the planning of re-opening its doors once again to the public, but the widespread pandemic slowed progress. This allowed more time to prepare, grow ideas, and produce something that would appeal to a wider audience.
After lots of brainstorming, research, late night huddles around chicken sandwiches, the plan was created. Many locations looked at, lots of companies contacted, and ultimately here we are. The first re-envisioned Impact Gaming Center opened right where it all began in Fairview Heights, IL. The new home for PC gamers, but also for console, tabletop, board game, and TCG players as well. With a new focus on including new communities, we aim to make an Impact by having fun and helping others to do the same.

We want to evolve, just like the games we love to play do. That’s why we’re committed to listening to our players, and implementing new goals based on community feedback. Our internal level-up roadmap is guided directly by your input. So if you have any idea, shoot us your thoughts.
Getting back to our roots, playing competitively online requires more than just a PC. Online games are a team effort. If you’ve got the drive and DPI, drop us your info on what games you’d be interested in.
