In Attack on Titan: Battle for Humanity we entered a world of danger, intrigue, and mystery. Our second voyage into this world sees the heroes on the verge of uncovering the truth about the Origins of Power in their world, both as it relates to Titans and their own king. Attack on Titan: Origins of Power is our second expansion set in the Attack on Titan manga and we’re excited to kick off our preview season as we get ready for prereleases on November 1st, 2024.
Origins of Power features 186 new cards, and returns us to a world filled with Air, Chaos, Death, Fire, Life, and Order before our next set takes us in new symbol directions. Here are the cards you’ll find in the set:
Commons: 65
Uncommons: 47
Rares: 26
Ultra Rares: 26
Secret Rares: 7
Characters: 15
Character rarity is returning as well, so the 15 characters in the set further look like this:
Common Characters: 6
Uncommon Characters: 3
Rare Characters: 3
Ultra Rare Characters: 2
Secret Rare Characters: 1
There are so many cool things to open in Attack on Titan: Origins of Power. What can you expect when you open your booster packs? Here’s a breakdown of some of the awesomeness with the average drop rate (note: the “average” means in general you’ll find cards at the following rates, though they can be slightly more frequent or slightly less frequent on occasion).
Each booster box can have up to four Secret Rares! Your box could contain up to two regular Secret Rares, a character Secret Rare, and an alt art Secret Rare.
Alternate art cards are returning, and will appear approximately one per booster box across all rarities and card types.
Character card alt arts will appear in approximately 1:48 boosters.
Alternate art Secret Rares will appear approximately two per case (a case is six booster boxes).
Ultra Rare characters will appear approximately two per booster box, while the Secret Rare character will appear approximately twice per case.
Foil character cards will appear approximately one per booster box.
The popular Pearl and Obsidian foiling treatment is returning! Pearl cards appear approximately once per booster box, while Obsidian cards appear approximately once in three booster boxes.
In addition to all of that awesomeness, Chrome Rares will, of course, be back as well. You can find them distributed randomly across all Attack on Titan: Origins of Power booster packs, including those provided in Prerelease kits, purchased at your Local Game Store, or found at “big box” retail chains. There is no Challenger deck in Origins of Power, and players looking to get started with UniVersus and Attack on Titan can continue relying on the Clash decks from Battle for Humanity as well as demo decks.
