Arcane Journal: The River of Bones is a 48-page softcover supplement for Warhammer: The Old World. Led by High Priest Ashurtak, Settra's legions advance inexorably towards the realm of Bretonnia in their quest for vengeance. Beyond the Vaults, they discover Athel Loren. Drawn to the great forest, the Undead face vigorous resistance.
The Power of Death Versus the Living Spirit of the Forest. This supplement ventures into the primordial forest of Athel Loren as Settra the Imperishable, his armies having ravaged the Border Princes, sets his sights upon the lands that lie beyond the peaks of the mountainous Vaults.
This 48-page softcover supplement contains:
- A Quest for Vengeance: Background describing the ambitions of Settra's forces as they set their deathless gaze upon Bretonnia, but first they must pass through Athel Loren, meeting the resistance of the Wood Elves that call it home.
- New Scenarios: The Mondidier Pass, a Battle March Scenario, and The Battle of Crystal Mere, a historical recreation scenario.
- Magic in the Wilderness: New rules for enchanted terrain, as well as new common magic items.
- Ancient Armies: New rules for the Tomb Kings of Khemri, including a Barrow Kingdoms Army of Infamy, and adding unique characters to your Battle March armies.
- Fury of the Great Forest: New rules for the Wood Elf Realms, including Kinbands, Gargantuan Treemen and Gargantuan Treemen Ancients, and the Spirits of the Forest Army of Infamy.
This is an expansion to Warhammer: The Old World – you'll need a copy of the Warhammer: The Old World Rulebook, Warhammer: The Old World – Forces of Fantasy, and Warhammer: The Old World – Ravening Hordes, all available separately, to use the contents of this supplement.
